Marcus Lopez

Origin

As a child, Marcus witnessed his parents’ deaths when Barbara Salinger, a mentally ill suicide jumper, jumped off a bridge right unto them. Barbara was released from hospital because of President Ronald Reagan’s policies. He lived at a boy’s home up until 1986, when he burned it down after years of being beaten and abused under the supervision of religious fanatics that utilized illegal child labor for personal wealth. Marcus crafted a bomb made from nails, needles and other various items found at his assigned work station that he learned from reading The Anarchist Cookbook. The explosion killed two guards that attempted to rush into his room and also his bunkmate, f***face. Using the guard’s keys to escape his room and free the other orphans, he captured and caged the headmistress that was the source of all their pain. Satisfied with what he had accomplished, Marcus quickly left the orphanage although he had no plans when he had escaped.

Unknown to Marcus, f***face survived and went on a one man rampage, killing every other school attendant and the imprisoned headmistress. The effects of the massacre was blamed upon Marcus and left him a wanted teenager while f***face was presumed dead and a victim of his former bunkmate’s escape. After the massacre and explosion, Marcus lived as a vagrant on the streets and jumped from place to place, sleeping under bridges and in poor homes. Under the watchful eye of Saya, he was quickly recruited into King’s Dominion High School for the Deadly Arts, even though he had initially opposed the idea at first.

Marcus has enrolled into King’s Dominion High School for the Deadly Arts, and already he has begun to make friends and enemies. Shortly after saving Shabnam from a beating by Russian student Viktor, and being shot down by Saya he is selected for an extra-special class, AP Black Arts, and receives his first assignment. His lab partner for the mission is Willie.
