Mr. Strode appears first in issue #3 in a flashback where he is shown beating Mrs. Strode while Luther watches on. In issue #4 The Librarian knockouts Luther and takes him to an apartment where his Father lives. The Librarian tells Luther that his father wasted his talents and asks him to kill him however Luther refuses, which prompts The Librarian to do it himself by crushing Mr. Strode’s head with a kick.
