The Tomorrow Man
Ollie, a streetwise orphan in the mode of Oliver Twist, first meets the alien Bozz as Ollie tries to pickpocket a gentleman at the carnival. Bozz stops the man from beating Ollie, and Ollie decides to take advantage of Bozz instead. He gets Bozz to steal the man’s wallet back using his alien powers. Realizing that Bozz’s naivete makes his easy to manipulate, he brings him back to his gang of orphans. After some more thefts, however, Bozz’s good nature begins to rub off on him. So when a press gang tries to kidnap Bozz and accidentally blinds him, Ollie and his friends decide to help him.
They bring him to a mysterious doctor who has a secret hideout in the sewers. The doctor takes Bozz in but kicks out Ollie and his friends, so Ollie tells Bozz’s partners Mandy Flynn and Salem Hawkshaw, where he is.
The three of them rescue Bozz from the doctor, who is actually a mad scientist who created a time machine. Ollie himself destroys the time machine and Mandy gives him a reward, thus starting his new relationship as an assistant to their detective business.
The Cobblestone Jungle
When Mandy and Bozz are hired to find an African jewel that was smuggled into the country, Ollie finds out which ship it arrived on, and helps them meet the captain.
