Sabretooth have 275 pounds of muscle, claws, and a killer instinct.
Current Events
Banished beneath Krakoa in a permanent state of stasis while mentally conscious for the rest of his life.
Origin
Sabretooth’s memories have been tampered with by clandestine organizations such as Weapon X, and so much of what appears to be his past is not of credible account. His strongest and earliest memories involve being cruelly abused on numerous occasions by his father while being tied up in his parents’ basement. Another memory of Victor’s childhood was when his mutation first manifested, he killed his pediatrician at age 9 (Uncanny X-Men 1st series #326). Another memory involves Wolverine, whom at the time lived in a small community of Blackfoot Indians and settlers. One day, Sabretooth tracked him down in Canada, and he raped and seemingly murdered his lover, Silver Fox on Logan’s birthday. This resulted in the first of many battles between the two, with Sabretooth savagely beating Logan. Creed eventually adopted a tradition of tracking Logan down on his birthday with the intention of fighting him.
Eventually emerging as a costumed villain, Sabretooth became partners with the Constrictor and the two acted as enforcers for major criminal interests. During this time, Creed began to stalk and kill human beings for pleasure. This earned him the newspaper title of “The Slasher.” The Constrictor and Sabretooth eventually dissolved their partnership, and Sabretooth nearly killed the Constrictor at one time.
Creation
Sabretooth was created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne in August 1977 and made his first ever appearance in Iron Fist issue 14. Initially, Sabretooth was created to be a recurring villain for Iron Fist, but was later introduced into the X-Men comics during the Mutant Massacre crossover in 1986 of which he became one of Marvel’s major super-villains.
During the events of Avengers & X-Men: Axis, Sabretooth was one of the superpowered people that got ‘inverted’, turning his ‘evil’ into ‘good’ and vice-versa. While this happened to many superpowered people for just a small time, it stuck with Sabretooth, making him an all new person wanting to correct the horrifying deeds of his former self.
Major Story Arcs
Team X
Eventually, Creed is recruited into a top secret CIA covert ops unit known as Team X with allies John Wraith (Kestrel), Logan (Wolverine), and David North (Maverick). On one mission, the psychopathic Sabretooth kills a crucial scientist during a battle against Russian super soldier Omega Red. The killing of innocents on these missions becomes something of a habit for him, which doesn’t always sit well with his teammates. During this period he fathers a son, Graydon, with a spy named Leni Zauber, who turns out to be the mutant shapeshifter Mystique in disguise. Graydon eventually grows up and created the anti- mutant group, the Friends of Humanity. While running for President, Graydon is assassinated by Mystique from an alternate future. Next, Sabretooth is recruited by the Weapon X program, but it is unknown what, if any, enhancements he receives. He does receive the standard Weapon X memory tampering, and he is found to be more prone to telepathy than his counterpart, Wolverine.
Mutant Massacre
Sabretooth eventually encounters a thief by the name of Gambit, and the two fight, but find they aren’t exactly enemies. Later, while recruiting for mastermind villain Mister Sinister, Gambit gathers a group of mutant criminals he has associated with (including Sabretooth) to form The Marauders and participate in the Mutant Massacre. This sets Sabretooth in another battle against Wolverine. Sinister clones several of the Marauders so that he has a loyal group of lackeys after the originals die, but finds that Sabretooth cannot be cloned. Despite this, Sabretooth stays with the Marauders for an unspecified amount of time before leaving and returning to his mercenary roots. During his time as a mercenary, he establishes himself as a hero-fighting villain by taking on the likes of Ms. Marvel, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Thor, Spider-Man, and the Black Cat. Also during this time, the ninja organization known as the Hand augments his strength. Sabretooth eventually returns to the sewers to slaughter some leftover Morlocks. Caliban, a surviving Morlock who previously pledged his life to the immortal mutant Apocalypse, hunts for Sabretooth. In a vicious battle, the once meek Caliban breaks Sabretooth’s spine, and leaves him for dead. Sabretooth’s healing ability repairs this damage, but he doesn’t track the augmented Caliban down.
Return to Weapon X
Sabretooth returns to his archenemy Wolverine, and the pair are reunited with Team X. A bigger surprise comes when Wolverine and Sabretooth discover Silver Fox is actually alive, but she only remembers a hatred for Logan. Ultimately, Ferro, a telepath, takes control of Creed and forces him to kill Silver Fox, this time for real. During this period, he also battles Cable and the Weapon X robot Shiva, and discovers that despite what he previously believed, he is not Wolverine’s father.
Sabretooth has a Son
Soon, suffering from severe blood-lust, Sabretooth hires telepathic mutant Birdy to help him keep his urges in check by providing what he calls “the glow,” a psychic blast that satiates his blood-lust and numbs the pain of his suppressed memories, allowing self-control for short periods. Sabretooth is hired by the Hand’s leader, Matsuo, to help the newly reanimated Omega Red defeat the X-Men. During the battle, the telepathic X-Woman Psylocke possesses Sabretooth, using him to free her teammates. A short time later, Birdy is killed by Sabretooth’s grown son Graydon, who has developed a hatred for mutants, especially his father. Sabretooth spares Graydon, but without the “glow”, Sabretooth slips into a murderous killing spree. This culminates in a clash with Maverick, whom Sabretooth defeats. He escapes, claiming only Wolverine can do what needs to be done to the psychotic Creed as he leaps out a window.
Attack on the X-Men
Maverick approaches the X-Men and in Japan, an ancient telepath, comatose since the nuclear bomb that destroyed Hiroshima, mindlinks and the team discovers Creed’s psychosis was rooted in his time as a CIA operative: on a mission, he slaughtered a target, his wife (a “freebie” for Creed), and a little boy. The look in the boy’s eyes had followed Creed ever since. Ultimately, Sabretooth attacks Charles Xavier, leader of the X-Men. As Xavier infiltrates Creed’s mind, he discovers that every victim Sabretooth has killed is remembered by the villain. Xavier is confident this means Creed values human life, and there is hope for the mutant. Sabretooth is incarcerated as a wanted murderer, in a holographic environment on the Xavier Institute grounds. Sabretooth is angered, but grudgingly stays with the team.
During his incarceration, he assists in battles against the X-Cutioner and the Phalanx. Caliban, free of Apocalypse’s control, kidnaps the X-Man Jubilee in exchange for Sabretooth. When Sabretooth arrives, he mauls Caliban’s face, who flees the battle. Wolverine, who had left the team after his Adamantium was removed by Magneto, returns, and the villain escapes for a fight. This leads to Wolverine stabbing one of his claws into Sabretooth’s brain. The newer, gentler Sabretooth, with brain damage and free from the need for “the glow”, was frequently nursed for by X-Force member Boomer; he eventually reveals that he was feigning helplessness, and attacks Boomer. Psylocke saves the young mutant’s life, and she uses her psionic knife to disable him. However, this no longer works because of his brain injury from Wolverine, which renders him resistant to telepathic attacks, detection and control. Retaliating by nearly killing Psylocke, he is confronted by the X-Men, who manage to incapacitate him.
X-Factor
Sabretooth is turned over to the custody of Dr. Valerie Cooper, who fits him with an explosive restraining collar and forces him to participate as a member of the government-sponsored X-Factor team. He aids the team in many missions, tries to re-establish his “romantic” relationship with Mystique and both taunts and helps to train Wild Child. Creed later admitted he was a “sleeper” agent, tasked with the mission of executing X-Factor members the government could not control. He eventually escapes, and returns once more to mercenary work.
New Lives
Under unknown circumstances, he gains an Adamantium skeleton and claws, and is captured by Apocalypse to be pitted against Wolverine in a battle to become the Horseman of Apocalypse, Death. Wolverine triumphs, and Apocalypse takes the Adamantium from Sabretooth and bonds it to Wolverine. The defeated Creed joins Mystique’s new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, calling itself simply The Brotherhood, where he participates in an assassination attempt against Senator Robert Kelly.
Weapon X
Later, he is forced to become a member of a relaunched Weapon X program, where his strength is genetically augmented, his healing factor accelerated, and his bones and claws once again laced with Adamantium. Eventually he escapes the program again, and resumes his mercenary work. At one point, he works with several other villains to locate the Identity Disc, a record of heroes’ secret identities, though this turns out to be a ruse.
Later, in Canada, he encounters the newest Wendigo, along with Sasquatch, who believes Creed may be responsible for some of the human deaths occurring in the area. Creed is seen setting traps and acting mysteriously, as part of a twisted mind-game he is playing with the Wendigo before attempting to kill it. Sabretooth and the Wendigo clash, falling into the Arctic Sea, and both are presumed dead by Sasquatch. After a fearsome battle in the Arctic waters, Sabretooth emerges victorious with the hide of the Wendigo.
Brotherhood
Sabretooth would later attack the Xavier Institute as part of a revamped Brotherhood consisting of leader Black Tom Cassidy, Mammomax, Avalanche, Exodus, and undercover heroes Nocturne and Juggernaut. After the battle, Wolverine claims to have killed Sabretooth, spreading him “all over the grass”, although Black Tom’s plant abilities probably contributed to Sabretooth’s survival.
With the X-Men
Creed is spotted fleeing a mysterious group of superhumans collectively known as The Children. Their reasons for pursuing him are unknown, but two of them â Sangre and Serafina â were tracking him. Sangre activates a singularity generator that annihilates most of the town and kills all its citizens, except for a little girl whom Serafina deliberately shielded from the destruction so there would be a witness to what had happened. He later encounters two more of the Children â Aguja and Fuego.
They attack him and temporarily neutralize his healing factor, but he manages to escape regardless, only to end up at the Xavier Institute later that night seeking sanctuary. It is revealed that the Children are after Creed because he has seen them and knows who they are. It is only when Rogue, the leader of the team, injects Nano-Sentinels into Sabretooth’s blood that they take him along with their fight against the Children, a factor that one of the Children exploits. At one point, Cannonball saves his life during the battle. Sabretooth rewards him with some inside information: “The first time you turn your back, you’re dead.” Following the incident on Providence, Creed escapes the X-Men, but is hurled into the middle of the Pacific Ocean by Cable.
Evolution
Sabretooth renews his rivalry with Wolverine following the latter’s return to the X-Mansion. A fight soon breaks out with Wolverine tossing Sabretooth through a window. During the fight, Wolverine thinks back to the time when Sabretooth had, supposedly, killed Silver Fox. He remembers Sabretooth saying “Quod sum eris” and asks what it means. Sabretooth explains that it means “I am what you will be.” Wolverine loses control and calls Sabretooth insane before placing his fist against Sabretooth’s throat. Creed tells him if Logan extracts his claws, he will rip his heart out. Wolverine replies “Let ‘er rip” and pops his claws into Sabretooth’s throat. Wolverine regains consciousness and finds himself chained to the roof of the Blackbird. He quickly breaks free of the chains and is surprised to find Sabretooth piloting the jet. Wolverine breaks into the cockpit and begins choking Sabretooth with one of the chains, which causes him to crash.
The two emerge from the flaming wreckage and, while healing from the injuries sustained in the crash, begin fighting once again. They are immediately separated by a lightning bolt, courtesy of Wolverine’s former teammate and current Queen of Wakanda, Storm. A short time later, Sabretooth is chained up in the royal palace of Wakanda and complains to Wolverine, Storm, and the Black Panther. Sabretooth snaps the chains and escapes into the jungle, with the Panther quickly giving chase. The Panther catches up to Sabretooth and the two begin to fight, with Sabretooth quickly gaining the upper hand. He holds the Panther off the ground by the neck, preparing to strike a killing blow, when Wolverine suddenly appears and slices off Sabretooth’s right hand.
Death
Recently, a clandestine operation, under the command of the mysterious being known as Romulus, regresses Sabretooth’s intelligence to little more than a wild animal with almost no ability to reason or use language. After Sabretooth kills Feral, Wolverine tracks him down and attacks him with the Muramasa Blade, a sword forged with part of Wolverine’s own soul. The sword, aside from being highly durable, has the supernatural property of creating wounds that greatly nullify the efficiency of an accelerated healing factor. Sabretooth resists at first, then breaks through Romulus’ alterations enough to ask Wolverine to kill him, to which Logan gladly obliges, decapitating Creed and leaving his body in the snow.
Hell
Sabretooth has remained dead since his decapitation at the hands of Wolverine. During Wolverine’s initial descent into Hell, he is able to grab onto a ledge for a brief moment. There he sees a young version of himself holding the severed head of Sabretooth. He bites Logan’s arm and he continues his fall to the bottom. After fighting waves of his defeated enemies Wolverine comes upon the Devil himself, holding Sabretooth on a leash. He lets him go and Sabretooth beats on Wolverine until his new master calls him off and commands him to sit. However, when Wolverine was able to subdue the Devil and pin his body on a wall, the Devil commanded Sabretooth to let him go, however, Sabretooth attacked him instead.
More recently, Creed is seen back alive, accepting a job from the new Hellfire Club to make Wolverine’s life in the new Jean Grey School of Higher Learning “Hell”.
Back In Japan
Though it was as of yet urevealed how, Sabretooth is indeed back from the dead and is trying to start a war between rival gangs in Japan. He is hired to kill Mr.Takenaka, leader of the Yakuza, and tosses him from a jet. Creed is later approached by other Yakuza members to accept an offer at an airport in L.A. Sabretooth says he’ll miss an important meeting by going, and kills the Yakuza. He settles up his tab at the brothel and finishes his meal. Creed sets a trap for Logan before heading to his meeting but he breaks free and catches up to him. The two battle, while Creed is flying a jetpack, and crash to the ground. They land among the Yakuza, the Hand, the new Silver Samurai and Wolverine’s adopted daughter. Logan goes to save his daughter and tears through Sabretooth to do so. Creed recovers and grabs the Silver Samurai. It is later revealed he is working with Mystique and the Mind Ninjas.
Sabretooth stands beside Mystique as she repeatedly shoots Wolverine in the face. They kiss before Sabretooth heads on to the next part of his plan. He escapes with the man who hired him, Azuma Goda, to cause a war between the Hand and the Yakuza. As Goda reveals his master plan of becoming an “invisible” ruler of Japan, Sabretooth seems to have his own plans. He allows Wolverine to slip past Goda’s security an leaves Logan to kill him. Creed then saves Mystique from Lord Deathstrike and makes him an offer. The three of them arrive at a meeting of the remaining heads of east Asia, who are deciding the fate of Tokyo and kill them all as Sabretooth, along with Mystique and Lord Deathstrike, declares himself the new “invisible” ruler of East Asia.
Sabretooth Reborn
Wolverine saves Cloak who has been chained to the top of the Empire State Building. He tells Logan that Sabretooth has taken Dagger. Logan returns to the site he buried Creed’s remains and finds them still there. They head to the cabin where Sabretooth killed Silverfox years ago and find Dagger being held by Romulus. Wolverine searches the Weapon X Facility in Canada and finds an army of Sabretooth replicants in stasis tubes when the real Victor attacks. Creed escapes while Logan struggles with his replicants. Logan teams up with Romulus’ twin sister Remus and travel to Italy to stop Creed and Romulus. Victor guards Romulus who is inside of a Weapon X tube but is savagely taken down by Logan.
Final Execution
for more information: Uncanny X-Force
Sabretooth and AoA Blob kidnap Genesis while on a school trip. Along with Daken, Mystique and others Victor leads the newest Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Victor and Daken take Evan on an RV tour cross country, trying to force him to kill innocents or at least kill them to stop them from doing the same. Evan resists initially as Victor continues to mentor and manipulate Daken as well. Uncanny X-Force arrives at their underwater base as Logan takes on Victor, savagely taking him down. Daken and Logan have a final encounter where Logan is forced to kill his own son. Victor steps out from the shadows and reveals that he planned for Logan to kill his son and was manipulating them both the whole time. Genesis almost kills Victor upon hearing this but is stopped by Logan, which allows Creed enough time to escape.
All New X-Men
Sabretooth is helping Mystique in her plan against the X-Men, after she and Sabretooth staged his arrest to gain access to a prisoner, Regan Wyngrade, aka Lady Mastermind, in the The Raft and break her out to join their team. Sabretooth and Mystique’s team have been on a massive bank robbing spree since their formation. Mystique reveals that she wishes to buy the city of Madripoor, and the X-men find this out and attack Mystque’s team during the transaction with Madam Hydra and Sabretooth and Wolverine fight. The two eventually retreat from the fight but resume their plans for domination of Madripoor.
AXIS and Inversion
During the events of AXIS, Sabretooth is one of the villains Magneto recruits to help fight off the Red Skull and his new Stark Sentinels. At first, both Sabretooth and Mystique are reluctant to help. This however changes when Magneto tells the two that the Red Skull will pose a threat not just to the heroes and America, but also for Madripoor, the island nation they are in charge of. Following the Inversion wave caused by Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange and Doctor Doom, Creed is transformed into a more heroic figure. Suddenly feeling remorse for all the horrible things he’s done in the past, he dons a variation of one of Wolverine’s classic outfits and sets out to become a hero.
At the close of the event, Sabretooth is one of the few characters to remain Inverted rather than returning to his old ways. He willingly surrenders himself to the authorities, and is last seen in prison, contemplating Wolverine’s impact on his life and how to best emulate him.
While in custody, the U.S. and Avengers understand the drastic changes Sabretooth has made and that he is, in fact, a new person. He is then drafted to join the Avengers Unity Squad for some time, facing the High Evolutionary and the newly-returned Ultron. Although the team-members know that Sabretooth is an all-new person due to the Inversion, they still do not trust him completely. He is therefore put on a leash by the team.
Sometime later, SHIELD agent, Phil Adsit shows up at the Avengers mansion wanting to find Creed. Rogue explains that Creed didn’t leave a forwarding address when he was kicked out of the mansion a while back.
Joining Magneto’s X-Men
After the events of Secret Wars, a still-inverted Sabretooth became a member of Magneto’s X-Men. During the Civil War II arc, Sabretooth confesses to
Psylocke that he doesn’t really agree with Magneto’s methods. He just sticks around because only Magneto would have him. During his time with the team, he develops love-hate relationship with Monet, whom he’d become very protective of.
While the two are on a mission, they end up confronted by her brother, Emplate. Toward the battle’s end, Emplate manages to fuse with Monet, cursing her with his mutant vampirism. He warns her that if she wants his cooperation to keep her affliction secret, she has to feed him. Sabretooth, having been present when it happened, promises Monet that he would keep her secret and she could feed on him whenever she needed.
The feedings greatly weaken Creed, as Monet absorbs his healing factor, claws, and speed. As time wears on, Creed could also feel his inversion starting to fade. Some of his more feral instincts come back to the surface, which scares him. He thinks he has to become something different. Something other than the lie of his inverted self, but also something other than the monster he was.
After the team disbands, Sabretooth went off with Monet to continue trying to help her.
Weapon X (2017)
Sometime later, he left Monet, and went to live in the woods until he was “recruited” by Old Man Logan to fight against a new version of the Weapon X program -alongside Domino, Warpath, and Lady Deathstrike. Taking the Weapon X name for themselves, they form a new team, becoming the X-Men’s resident team of hunters. Working together, they are successful in shutting down the new program lead by William Stryker, and liberating one of his experiments, Weapon H.
The team worked together successfully for a while, but falls apart with Logan’s failing health & Warpath’s distrust of Sabretooth. Logan eventually assigns leadership to Victor, whom he believes can be a good person if he’s given the chance. The team gets a mission to take out Omega Red, but Sabretooth recruits him instead, vowing to help him & treat him like a person for once. As the next order of business, Sabretooth helps Omega Red get revenge on his brother, Vassily & take down his corrupt government of S.I.C.K.L.E.
Weapon X-Force
During their assault on S.I.C.K.L.E., Domino comes up with the new name, Weapon X-Force. They succeed in taking down Omega Red’s brother, Vassily, after which Zaslon takes over as the new leader of S.I.C.K.L.E. She dubs Sabretooth & his team friends of Russia, and tells him they always have friends there. Having confronted Sabretooth, Warpath gives up on trying to stop him or convince the team he’s no good. He, along with an ailing Logan take their leave, with Logan thinking Creed has changed & that his heart is in the right place. Creed makes it clear to the team that they’ll be focusing on merc jobs before introducing them to Foreigner, who is actually Mystique & she’ll be assigning their missions.
For weeks they operated successfully and their recent mission leaves them with tons of money. Domino is ready to quit after she finally gets her big payday, but she stays when she hears the next mission is to rescue Monet St. Croix, whom she’s led to believe Victor has feelings for.
Stryker’s Return
After successfully rescuing Monet from Mentallo’s cult, they do battle with Deadpool who’s working for him. Sabretooth successfully bribes him into switching sides & the true leader of the cult is revealed to be a cyborg William Stryker. The team does battle with him only to be captured alongside many other mind-controlled mutants. In midst of battling the other prisoners, Sabretooth comes up with the plan of using their Nuke Pills to free everyone & finally take out Mentallo, the cult, and Stryker. Though killed, Stryker notes his pact with the devil and declares he will be back.
Weapon X-Force decides to take the fight to Hell, but need someone who can get them there. They go to Azazel for help & he’s happy to see Mystique but jealous she came with Sabretooth, who she also had a child with. Battling Weapon X-Force, Azazel notes Creed’s inversion has not redeemed him & he’s well on his way to Hell anyway, having washed away none of his evil. When Creed taunts him about Mystique, he becomes wrathful & sends Creed to Hell via decapitation.
Into the Depths of Hell
Creed wakes up in a hospital where he meets Ms. Duverne, aka Many Face, a Morlock he killed in the massacre. She explains he has no insurance & his inversion has earned him very little credit, but he can pay it off over a very long period.
Creed thinks he doesn’t belong in Hell due to being a good guy now, but he dozes off. He wakes up to a man screaming, whom he’s tempted to kill until he discovers it’s Graydon. He takes Graydon with him & reunites with his team, who also made it to Hell thanks to Azazel. Mystique wants him to leave Graydon behind, but Victor isn’t willing to do so. They are confronted by Marduk Kurios, who doesn’t try to stop them & instead points them to Stryker, whom they have to destroy before his rebirth.
Back in the living world, Mentallo is in the process of using the remaining cultists sacrifices to resurrect Stryker. Seeing this through a vision portal, Victor orders the team to return to Azazel and be teleported to Aspen to stop Mentallo while he deals with Stryker.
The Beast Reemerges
Victor continues his fight with Stryker, but has to leave when a power-boosted Mentallo overcomes his team. Victor confronts Mentallo, opting to lose his mind & free his inner beast to avoid the psychic attacks. Being briefly overcome by Sabretooth, Mentallo shoots him with Domino’s discarded gun which sends him into the sacrificial pit as Stryker’s last offering.
In retaliation, Deathstrike deals the fatal blow to Mentallo while Monet mourns Victor’s death. Reentering Hell, Victor successfully decapitates Stryker, noting that if he does sacrifice himself, it’ll be for his son. Graydon is then called back to the living world instead as Sabretooth watches on, glad that he kept his promise to save his son.
Weapon X-Force witnesses Graydon’s revival and Mystique notes that Sabretooth is responsible, but Monet questions what happened to Sabretooth. Back in Hell, Marduk comes to Sabretooth, who is in a feral state & can only growl. Initially, he thinks Mentallo broke Victor, but then ponderers if he actually fixed him & returned him to his former self. Not wanting to claim Victor when he’s too mentally deficient to torture, Madruk opens a portal to release him back into the world. Victor runs into the Saskatchewan woods while Marduk tells him to embrace his true self again & earn his way back to Hell.
A New World & Living Hell
After an unknown amount of time, mutants took up residence on Krakoa where they developed their own nation with their own rules & language -separated from humanity. Victor was back with Brotherhood, which consisted of Mystique & Toad, but he appeared to be on occasionally amicable terms with the X-Men.
During a mission to steal data from Damage Control, Creed injures many of the guards, killing at least two. When the Fantastic Four confront them, Mystique & Toad escaped through a Krakoa portal, but Creed is captured & later put on trial. He remorselessly stands before a judge and pleads guilty, but no judgement comes to him as Emma Frost comes to claim him on grounds of Diplomatic Immunity. The humans are not happy, but release Creed over to her & her Cuckoos when she reminds them that she could kill them all with one thought.
Though he was taken back to Krakoa, Creed was not out of the woods. He’s put on trial for his crime and found guilty of violating the new Krakoan law that prohibits murder of humans. Creed is defiant to the end about being judged for his actions and receives the ultimate suffering in punishment. Krakoa opens beneath him, encasing him in vines where he’s dragged below the surface, restrained & kept in a state of conscious stasis where he will remain the rest of his life.
Powers and Abilities
Sabretooth is a mutant with many natural powers that have been enhanced by Weapon X and other groups. He has very similar powers to that of Wolverine. Like Wolverine, Sabretooth’s primary ability is an accelerated healing factor, which can heal destroyed flesh and organs and broken bones in a matter of minutes. His healing also radically slows his aging process. Sabretooth’s age is unknown but Wild Child presented information to Wolverine, on behalf of Romulus, that they had both fought in the coliseums in the time of the Roman Gladiators. His healing factor also makes Sabretooth immune to all toxins and drugs, gives him superhuman stamina, and lets him push his body well beyond human limits.
Creed also possesses enhanced senses of hearing, sight, taste, smell. He can see objects much clearer and at much greater distance that normal humans, and can see in complete darkness like cats can. His sense of smell is enhanced enough that he is able to track people by their scent, even if it has been decayed by time or masked by other factors. Sabretooth’s hearing is sensitive enough that he can hear almost anything from up to three miles away, depending on the level of noise in the area.
Sabretooth’s physical strength far surpasses that of a normal human, as his healing factor instantly repairs muscle tears and negates the buildup of lactic acid which causes muscle fatigue. The upper limits of his strength have never been confirmed, and It is unclear how many times his strength has been increased by Weapon X and other groups.
Sabretooth has three inch claws in place of his finger and toenails, which are extendable in a manner similar to Lady Deathstrike’s. He also possesses animal-like fangs which, like his claws, are made of a substance stronger than human bone, though whether this is simply an effect of his bones’ extreme durability is unclear.
With his bones laced in Adamantium, Sabretooth’s healing factor is markedly decreased in its effectiveness, though his skeleton, fangs, and claws are essentially unbreakable.
Sabretooth’s natural ferocity and lust for violence have been augmented over the years by training at the hands of the CIA, Weapon X, the Hand, and other organizations. Despite his brutish appearance, Creed is quite intelligent on a tactical and strategic level. He was rendered immune to telepathic manipulation after an incident when Wolverine punctured his frontal lobe.

Other Versions
Age of Apocalypse (Earth-295)
Sabretooth’s character in this reality is very much different compared to most of his other versions. He is less aggressive and does care for humanity. He once was a Horseman of Apocalypse and was one of its first roster. However, he quit working for Apocalypse after discovering that their mission was to end the existence of the human race. He then joined the X-Men, a group whose aim was totally different from the former master. Apocalypse felt disappointed towards Sabretooth and was furious when he heard that Sabretooth had joined the X-Men. He even attempted to kill him along with his X-Men teammates. However, this attempt was thwarted by Magneto. During a mission where he rebelled to Holocaust, Sabretooth was captured and then imprisoned with a fellow mutant named Wild Child. At first, Wild Child was feral towards Sabretooth, but when he defeated him in combat, Sabretooth became his protector and master. The two then rejoined the X-Men and fought on various missions against Apocalypse. During a mission, Sabretooth found a young girl named Blink in one of the death-camps he and his fellow X-Men had ambushed. He picked her up and took her out of the camps, treating and protecting her as his own daughter. Time went on, and Blink became older, as well as a part of the X-Men team. Although he was proud of the skilled fighter she had been, he was still very protective over her. She also kept referring to him as “Mister Creed” (his real name), as sort of a nickname in respect towards him. Sabretooth spent many more missions fighting for Magneto and his X-Men. All things changed when a man named Bishop, claiming to be from a different reality, came to the X-Men.
The X-Men believed it was now the time to defeat Apocalypse once and for all. Having heard that Holocaust was going to start another culling in Chicago, Rogue brought a team of X-Men to stop him. Sabretooth and Blink volunteered to come along, despite that it was something of a suicide mission. Sabretooth took his part in the battle when he fought against Holocaust, the son of Apocalypse. It was a brutal battle, in witch Sabretooth seemed victorious, but he passed out after he had seemingly killed Holocaust. Holocaust, however, reassembles himself, picks up Sabretooth, and hangs him on an iron ledge, as an example to those whom opposed Apocalypse. Blink found him and thought he had perished. His wounds seemed too great for even him to heal. She released him from the ledge and put him down on the ground. With furious anger, Blink confronted Holocaust all by herself and, while it seemed an easy victory for Holocaust, he underestimated Blink and was defeated by her rapid teleporting. At this point, Sabretooth was healed up enough to walk up to the fight-scene and to see Blink in action. That was when he finally saw her as not just his daughter, but as a full grown member of the X-Men as well. Sabretooth and his team were present during the final battle against Apocalypse. Apocalypse was killed and the reality known as “The Age of Apocalypse” seemed to vanish, reverting back to the ‘main’ 616 Marvel Universe. However, later it turned out that the reality had survived.
Sabretooth however, was taken from his reality and unhinged from time by a being known as the Timebroker to lead a team called Weapon X (not to be mistaken for the 616’s Wolverine Weapon X program). This team traveled through different realities, in order to ‘fix’ those that were broken, meaning realities where things had gone just a bit different then how it was supposed to happen, with sometimes disastrous results. During one of his missions, Sabretooth was astonished when he saw his foster daughter Blink with a few mutants. He had not seen Blink since he was taken away from his reality right after the defeat of Apocalypse. Sabretooth and Blink were reunited and fought alongside each other once more, before he volunteered to stay on one of the realities they had to fix. A reality where a young mutant boy would become the destroyer of the planet, if not taught about values and morals. It seemed that Sabretooth had lost Blink just as soon as he had found her, however, Sabretooth returned to Blink after his mission had ended and joined her team, the Exiles. He even became leader of the Exiles for a time. During this time, Blink finally started seeing Sabretooth as not just her father, but as a teammate too. This even resulted in her stopping from calling Sabretooth “Mister Creed” for some time, but she didn’t like that and returned to call him via his nickname. Sabretooth’s more aggressive methods didn’t sit well with all team members, especially Mimic, Blink’s boyfriend, didn’t approve of him. However, the two managed to agree to disagree and became uneasy allies. Creed fought alongside the Exiles for many more missions, most notably the mission of Proteus’ defeat.
As of today, Blink had assembled a new team of Exiles, but Sabretooth stays with the team to guide and help them. He more recently returned to his home dimension, Earth 295, the former the Age of Apocalypse world. How he returned there and how he said goodbye to his Exiles team members remains to be seen. Back in his own reality, he soon met up with the Uncanny X-Force from Earth 616, who traveled to his reality in hope of finding a cure for their friend Archangel. In this story arc the Amazing X-Men from Earth 295 traveled to Earth 616 in order to stop Archangel´s ascension, during this fight Victor attacked Archangel along with Wild Child and Wolverine, but Kyle was cut in a half and later Victor was presumably killed with Archangel´s razor wings. He survived the attack and paid tribute to his fallen mates ( Sunfire and Wild Child), they managed to kill Archangel with life seed and saved the entire reality. When Sabretooth and Jean were going to return to their own reality, Wolverine gave to him the Ogun´s sword because of his bravery in battlefield.
Later in his own reality, he was part of the resistance group in the last human city against Weapon X´s forces. As a desperate move the humans tried to use a clone of Scarlet Witch to unpower all mutants in Earth 295 as a result only a small radius was affected and Victor was there, if he lost his mutant powers remains to be seen.
Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610)
Sabretooth was a mutant who believed that men were crueler than less evolved animals, mutants should naturally be crueler and more monstrous than men. He was recruited into Weapon X, a black ops section of S.H.I.E.L.D. Initially coerced into serving them (he once spent six months as a NASA crash test dummy for disobeying orders), he eventually took a sadistic liking to the work, gaining a degree of authority over his fellow captive mutants. Sabretooth instantly disliked the similarly powered Wolverine, and has made an unverified claim that he slew Wolverine’s wife and child. When Wolverine escaped Weapon X, Sabretooth was sent to bring him back; they clashed with one another in the New York subway and in Times Square before Wolverine escaped, thanks to Spider-Man’s help.
After Wolverine joined the X-Men, Weapon X located their mansion base and attacked it, capturing all of them except the absent Wolverine. Weeks later, Wolverine was recaptured in St. Petersburg. Sabretooth, now enhanced with Adamantium implants similar to but more extensive than Wolverine’s, took Wolverine outside the base to torment him by destroying files detailing the amnesiac Wolverine’s past in front of him, unaware that his rival had allowed himself to be captured so that Weapon X’s location could be uncovered. A Tracker implant within Wolverine led the Brotherhood of Mutants to the area to free the X-Men. Wolverine tricked an enraged Sabretooth into cutting his bonds, and the two battled until Wolverine castrated his foe and tackled him off a cliff. Wolverine recovered consciousness first, doing unspecified, but non-lethal damage to his downed foe.
After Sabretooth recovered, he joined the terrorist Brotherhood of Mutants. Though he briefly quit in disgust over Quicksilver’s weak leadership, he returned when Magneto resumed control, soon becoming his right hand man. He led raids on the Louvre and other museums and galleries, gathering art prior to Magneto’s plan to devastate the Earth. He also oversaw missions recruiting oppressed mutants from around the globe. When the X-Men attacked the Brotherhood’s Citadel, Sabretooth again clashed with Wolverine, boasting he was bigger, stronger and could heal any wound Wolverine inflicted; in response, Wolverine decapitated him. He would return though.
Days after the Ultimatum wave hit, Sabretooth and fellow Brotherhood of mutant supremacy member, Juggernaut, were enjoying themselves at a strip club. Rogue entered the club, and captured Sabretooth and Juggernaut to make them tell them where Magneto is. Rogue put Sabretooth in a room, where she absorbed his abilities and gutted him with claws. Rogue entered Sabretooth’s mind, since Sabretooth wouldn’t talk, and found a horrible pack of memories of death, blood, and fighting. Unable to discover anything, Rogue left to see what happened to Juggernaut. Rogue later changed her mind, and made a team combining herself, the reformed Vindicator (John Wraith), Juggernaut, and Sabretooth, and set off to help the mutants that were being slaughtered at the Xavier institute. When entering, the team quickly and easily fended off against the traumatized men who lost their loved ones in the wave. Sabretooth attacked William Stryker, the leader of the group, but Stryker blasted Sabretooth away and into another room. Sabretooth sat on the ground with his right arm severely injured. Madrox enters and tells Sabretooth to either come with him to Magneto or to die with the rest of the mutants. Sabretooth easily agrees, and walks away.
Returning to Magneto in the arctic circle, the evil mutants waited as the heroes came their way to kill them all. Angel crashed threw the window in Magneto’s room, and attacked Magneto. Magneto gave Sabretooth the nod, and Sabretooth entered, slashing Angel’s back, using his teeth to rip out one of Angel’s wings, and kicking Angel in the neck, all killing Angel in the end. Hawkeye entered the room, shooting Sabretooth in the eye. Later, after everything was going bad for the evil mutants, and as Magneto was killed, Mystique set off a charge in the boiler room of the levitating citadel, letting the citadel drop into the freezing waters. Sabretooth came in and saved Mystique, leaving with her with a glider. Later, Sabretooth, with a bandage over his scarred eye, watched as Quicksilver, once believed dead, acknowledges his team for a job well done. A few days later, Sabretooth, Mystique, and the robot Assemble, came to the old Xavier institute claiming that they have come to pay their respects. However, Jean Grey blames them for the destruction, and a fight ensues. Captain America arrives, decapitating Assemble and stating that he also came to pay respect to the fallen X-Men. It is unclear as to what happened to Sabretooth after that.
Trying to make himself look more human, Victor cut his hair and wears a black leather dust-jacket and sunglasses, to avoid getting apprehended by the government since he chose not to turn himself in for being a mutant. He, along with Mystique, sought out Jean Grey (now calling herself Karen Grant), in an attempt to conscript her to their, as of yet unknown, cause. Jean used her powers to hurl him into the front of a bus, and crushed him with an additional two vehicles that exploded into a giant fireball upon impact. His last words before the explosion were “He’s not gonna be happy when he hears about this…”

To be able to stop his threatening attacks on the humans and to the others, Magneto have contacted Sebastian Shaw to work with the SHIELD. Wolverine along with his team called Red Army have arrived to battle against him and put him down. He was sent to imprisonment but was later freed and worked for Magneto as his personal assassin. Remorselessly, his first mission led him into killing his own son named Graydon Creed who fights against mutants. He was later sent to Wakanda and attempted to defeat Black Panther.
