Scootaloo

Scootaloo is a young pegasus pony featured in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. She is orange, with a purple mane and tail. She does not yet have a cutie mark.

She is a member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, a band of young ponies who have not yet earned cutie marks. Her best friends are fellow Cutie Mark Crusaders Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle.

Scootaloo idolizes Rainbow Dash, and the two share a sister-like relationship despite being unrelated.

Scootaloo can barely fly, so she uses her wings to propel herself on her scooter. She also enjoys pursuing extreme sports like bungee jumping. She always wants to impress Rainbow Dash, whom she sees an older sister. She can be hard-headed and aggressive. When she finally gets her Cutie Mark, it is a lightning bolt inside a wing, symbolizing her extreme-flight spirit.

Family

For most of the series, Scootaloo didn’t seem to have any family. She looked up to Rainbow Dash as an older sister, but her biological family was never mentioned or shown on screen. In Season 9 Episode 12, “The Last Crusade,” Scootaloo is shown to be living with her aunts, Holiday and Lofty, who look after her instead of her parents, Mane Allgood and Snap Shutter (who seem to be parodies of Dr. Sattler in Jurassic Park, and Steve Irwin, respectively), who are research ponies who travel all over Equestria, studying plants to find cures for diseases and such.

Future

In the series finale of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the Cutie Mark Crusaders are shown to be all grown up, and are teachers at the School of Friendship.
