Origin
Rosa was a gypsy girl, born in November 1593. In the summer of 1610, when Rosa was 16 years old, she met a handsome stranger. Luring her into the woods, the stranger revealed his true form, that of a demon, and raped her. The heinous act took away that part of her humanity that felt emotion. As a result, she didn’t age. Naming herself Scorpio Rose, she studied magic and dedicated her life to eradicate the evil that made her into what she was.
Creation
She was created by writer Steve Englehart and artist Marshall Rogers in 1983. She appeared in her own title. Though it was originally intended to be a three-issue series, only the first two issues were published, so her story arc was never finished. She bore many similarities to Madame Xanadu.
