Seegson Working Joe 937

Creation

The “937” in Seegson Working Joe 937 is likely a reference to Special Order 937 given to the android Ash in Alien. Special Order 937 is a classified retrieval order issued by Weyland-Yutani which tasks androids with ensuring the retrieval and survival of a sample specimen of the Xenomorph species, and stipulates that this task supersedes all other priorities, even the safety and survival of human crew members.

Alien: Isolation

After a Xenomorph got aboard Sevastopol, Apollo the mainframe computer requested a status report from all Seegson synthetics for the last 24 hours. Seegson Working Joe 937, also known as “Chuck,” reported in via a wall-mounted interface, saying he was en route to a task in habitation. Apollo asked Chuck to elaborate, and Chuck explained that he had “received multiple notifications of civilian trespass and vandalism on Seegson property.” Apollo then asked for an assessment of the Colonial Marshals’ capability to contain the current unrest. Chuck stated that it appeared poor and that “Marshal Waits has a drastically reduced force under his command.”

Chuck “helps.”

When Chuck spotted a lone survivor on security cameras, he moved to intercept the man and guide him away from the restricted area he’d entered. Upon meeting the man, Chuck offered to help him, and then strangled him, apparently per Apollo’s orders. Chuck then ran into Marshal Waits, who shot Chuck’s head off before he could even offer him a warning about trespassing.
