Shabnam spoke up against Viktor in hand-to-hand combat class and embarrassed him, leading to him receiving a beating in the showers. During Marcus‘ confrontation with Viktor, Shabnam soiled himself, grossing out the Russians and ending the conflict.
Afterwards, he seems to befriend Marcus, giving him info on the school’s various cliques and leading him to his next class.
