Skarlet

Origin

Skarlet was created by Shao Kahn who magically merged the blood of countless fallen enemies in order to create his ultimate assassin. Since her birth she has mostly been kept chained up and only brought out as a last resort, her first known mission was to track down the sorcerer Quan Chi and discover his true intentions and potentially kill him if his intentions went against those of her master, Shao Kahn.

Creation

Skarlet is based on an old rumor from Mortal Kombat 2 that there supposedly was a red version of the female ninja model, eventually proven wrong it was first presumed possible since many of the older characters shared models and was only differentiated between by the color of their outfit. She made her first true debute in Mortal Kombat 2011 as a DLC character, she was created by Netherrealm Studios.

Powers and Abilities

Skarlet is a construct made of blood and as such she has control over her own blood and gains strength through the blood over her opponents. Skarlet is a hemomancer of great power who can dissolve into a red liquid state to evade attacks or create constructs of blood. Skarlet can detach and launch balls of blood from her own body though this does hurt her. She is also highly skilled with twin ninjato, throwing knives, and hand to hand combat techniques.
