A massive carnivore native to the planet Felucia.
The Rancor was a massive creature that Luke Skywalker fought and killed in the pit beneath Jabba the Hutt‘s throne room. Vader‘s Apprentice Starkiller also fought several of these carnivores on their homeworld Felucia, one was under the control of dark jedi Maris Brood, who turned a large male bull rancor against Starkiller during their duel.
The Rancor seen in Jabba’s palace was a female of the species, as males have horns and females do not.
