Tira

Origin

Tira is a former assassin who once worked for an organization called the Bird of Passage. When the Evil Seed shone down on the leaders, the group disbanded. Tira had become addicted to killing during her time in the group, however, and couldn’t live a normal life. When she heard about Nightmare, she empathized with him because he was a similar being to herself, and she became his servant. Nightmare was impressed with her skills and made her his right hand woman, together they reaped many souls on their killing sprees. Tira manipulates any of Nightmare’s enemies to make them unknowingly help in Nightmare’s quest for chaos.

During the events of Soul Calibur III Tira had a mental breakdown upon witnessing her master Nightmare lose to a powerful warrior wielding Soul Calibur, this causes her to create two distinct personalities, a Jolly and Gloomy side which both converse about the different ways to kill someone. Tira goes back to Nightmare’s side in Soul Calibur IV where she fights in her unpredictable new style. Tira has control over a massive army of ravens known as the watchers who were given to her by Nightmare, she has a great love for the birds who uses them as the eyes and ears of Nightmare’s army.
