Deceased brother of Mrs. Lane whom she hopes to contact at a seance officiated by Doctor Sorrow. Detective Speed, Richy the Amazing Boy, Rang-a-Tang, and Trigger Quick helps expose the doctor as a charlatan.

In the story, only the name “Phillip” is given. His surname is unknown. The name, “Mrs, Lane” is given for his sister. While it’s possible that Mrs. Lane is not married and is just a mistake by Dr. Sorrow, it’s also possible that she remarried an unrelated individual with the name “LANE”, her maiden name.
